Bert Sigala was appointed to serve as Primera Baptist Church of Waxahachie's Senior Pastor April 12, 2015 . Prior to that, he served as Co-Pastor of Friendship Baptist Church in Ennis, Tx.

He has expressed a burning desire to lead a church like Primera Baptist Church of Waxahachie where biblical views are embraced and encouraged, with members who care about the needs of those around them and who want to connect others to the body of Christ. Pastor Bert takes worship and preaching very seriously, spending the first hours of his day focused on Bible study.
He graduated from University of Texas at Arlington in 2001 with a degree in B.A. in Management.
Pastor Bert has been happily married for 22 years to First Lady Johanna Hermosa Sigala. They have 3 children: Isaiah & Wife Haley, Adam, & Nadia Sigala.
