About
A church family in the heart of Waxahachie
Primera Baptist Church has gathered on Kaufman Street for generations — a congregation of neighbors, families, and friends who love Jesus and one another.
Our mission
We exist to glorify God by making disciples of Jesus Christ — worshiping together, teaching the Bible faithfully, caring for one another, and serving Waxahachie and Ellis County with the good news of the gospel.
What we're about
- Scripture first. Every service centers on the reading and preaching of God's Word.
- Prayer together. We pray for our church, our city, and one another — out loud and often.
- Every generation. Children, youth, and adults each have a place to learn and serve.
- Open doors. Visitors are not projects; they're guests. Come as you are.
Our life together
Sundays begin with worship at 11:00 AM. On Wednesdays we share a light meal at 5:30 PM before Bible study at 6:30 PM, with classes for children and youth. Between those gatherings, our ministries meet through the week — from the Ellis County Christian Men's Job Corps on Saturday mornings to ladies' fellowship nights and youth events.
Pastor Bert Sigala leads our congregation alongside a team of deacons, teachers, and volunteers. If you'd like to talk with someone before you visit, we would be glad to hear from you.
